 What are your current responsibilities and background?
I advise clients on real estate finance, commercial leasing, sales and acquisitions, commercial lending and troubled loans.  I began practicing in 2008, just as the sky was falling, so the recession has really shaped my career.  In difficult economic times you learn a lot about not only what you should do but also what you shouldn’t.

What are the three most important qualities you think a real estate young professional should possess?
Patience, curiosity, and civility.  The learning curve is long and steep for all real estate professionals.  You have to want to know more about your community and industry, and it takes time.  Also, commercial real estate is a surprisingly small community.  I try to always treat others kindly and respectfully, because at some point in the future you will end up working with the same people again.

What is the most important lesson you have learned during your career thus far?
Your reputation is your most valuable asset.  Always protect it.
